Raven's Choice is an engaging work of historical fiction, and author Lor E. Lynn has a way of grabbing the reader's attention on each page. The romance is endearing yet appropriate; the historical detail is interesting and reads easily. I would recommend this book to any man or woman looking for a good, solid read (although if you like it as much as I did, you'll cruise through it in a few days!). It'll be fun to see what Lor E. Lynn releases next.
Going through the book again, it could have been a little bit longer and I personally would have liked more romance. But otherwise is a relatively well written tale.
Raven’s Choice is the first in a new series, The Home Office Lords. It is a fast-paced historical romance with a rousing storyline.
Annabelle is a runaway who wasn’t pleased with the situation her brother placed her in so she took matters into her own hands, however now she must watch her back. When she finds a stunning black stallion, then the animal’s handsome master, she is all too willing to help.
Lord James Hastings has plans to leave London to meet up with friends for a country house party after setting his nephew straight but gets shot not far out of the city limits. Being rescued by a violet-eyed angel seems like a gift, until it isn’t. The presence of his boyhood friend should provide a welcome distraction during James’ recovery, if only the other lord wasn’t laughing at his struggles with his beautiful rescuer.
A finicky horse makes everything harder when it’s time to leave. With a few bungles along the way and a villain who doesn’t know when to quit, Annabelle and James find strength in each other.
I love the book. For me to be able to read a book it has to catch my interest in the first chapter or two. This one does, page after page it is a wonder of what is going to happen next. It is also a very clean book that people from teens to adults can read. Can't wait for the next book to come out.
Page Turner, Can't wait for the next one to come out and see if the Lord and Lady have a boy or a girl...... Love this book !!!
